Lenore:  Hello Miss Murder.

Miss Murder:  Good evening Lenore.  How are you fairing?

Lenore:  I'm quite well.  How about you?

Miss Murder:  I'm as good as ever.

Lenore:  That's excellent.

Miss Murder:  Tell me, Lenore, what brings you to my corner of the world?

Lenore:  Oh, I was just passing through and figured I would stop by for a quick visit.  It's been so long since we last talked.

Miss Murder:  Indeed it has.  But I find it difficult to believe that you are simply passing through these parts.  After all, this is the land of nightmares.

Lenore:  True, very true; I suppose I came by to ask a favor of you.

Miss Murder:  What kind of favor?

Lenore:  Just a simple favor; it's nothing grand or deadly or harmful to anything.

Miss Murder:  In your opinion it isn't but in mine it very well may be.

Lenore:  Agree to disagree.

Miss Murder:  So, what is it you want?

Lenore:  I would like for you to answer a question for me, if you can.  And I would like the truth, no matter how cruel or seemingly insignificant.

Miss Murder:  Ask your question and I will see if I can allow myself to answer.

Lenore:  What I would like to know is if I could have stopped his death from occurring?

Miss Murder:  You mean Apathy.

Lenore:  I do.

Miss Murder:  There is no humanly way that you could have halted his demise, but if you had gone beyond human bounds then Apathy may well have been here with us today and you would most likely be gone.

Lenore:  What do you mean?

Miss Murder:  In order to save him and everything that he was, you would have had to give yourself over to the darkness completely.  And we both know what would happen if that were to occur.

Lenore:  Indeed.  Thank you, Miss Murder.  Your answer has been most helpful.

Miss Murder:  Of course, Lenore.

Lenore:  Until we meet again.

Miss Murder:  Yes, and not till then.
Just a bit of dialogue that I may develop into a full fledged story.
